About the Recipe
Sinigang is a popular Filipino soup dish known for its sour and savory taste. The soup is typically made with a protein such as pork, beef, or seafood, and a variety of vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, string beans, okra, and spinach. Some people add eggplant, daikon, or taro as well. The sour taste comes from the addition of tamarind or other souring agents such as guava, kamias, or calamansi.
